Wire Baskets & Tubular Carriers

Fabricated steel wire baskets and wire carriers are designed and manufactured using high quality steel tubing as well as sheet metal for the coiling of wire. A solid basket is often used in house for rod break-down and then used subsequently in wire drawing of large stranders for power cables. Wire carriers are used for coiling and packaging wire from wire drawing equipment, and are then used as in-house or shipping packages.

Reel Handling Equipment

Reels and wire packages need equipment to be handled properly within the factory. In order to ensure that the reels and wire are not damaged due to improper reel handling methods GMP designed a comprehensive line of reel handling equipment in order to ensure safe handling of many types of reels and applications.

Take-Apart Reels

The take apart reels are collapsible reels which are designed to produce a reel-less package where only the strapped coil of wire, cable or tube is shipped or processed further. If only the strapped coil needs to be shipped, but a well formed package is desired, a take-apart reel system allows for high speed precision winding and un-winding possibilities.
